Evening and weekend appointments now available!

Patients who are registered with a GP practice in Tameside and Glossop can pre-book routine evening and weekend appointments via their practice. Appointments are available with a variety of clinicians at one of the five neighbourhood hubs across Tameside.
When GP practices are closed, patients who have had a clinical assessment and require urgent but non-life-threatening assistance may be offered an appointment at one of the five neighbourhood hubs. Appointments are available at Ashton Neighbourhood Hub seven-days-a-week, between 6.30 pm and 9pm.

Pre-booking an appointment at a neighbourhood hub

The receptionist at your GP practice can book an appointment for you at one of the neighbourhood hubs in Ashton, Glossop, Hyde, Denton or Stalybridge. While you may not see your registered GP, all clinicians have access to your medical records, subject to your consent.

Pre-booked appointments are available:
  • Monday to Friday evenings at all neighbourhood hubs;
  • Saturday and Sunday at:
    • Ashton Neighbourhood Hub during the day and evenings;
    • Glossop Neighbourhood Hub on weekend mornings.

You can now book an appointment to see a GP in evenings and on weekends in Tameside and Glossop.

Any patient registered with a GP practice in Tameside or Glossop can use this service. All appointments must be booked in advance through your own registered GP surgery.

You may not see your own doctor during these hours but the clinician you do see will have access to your medical record, subject to your consent. The seven day service is being introduced to help you fit your healthcare needs around family life and work commitments.

There are also plans to offer appointments with practice nurses in the future, so patients can book in for diagnostic tests, health advice and medical reviews for long-term conditions such as asthma and COPD.

If you would like to book an evening or weekend appointment, please contact your own surgery during usual opening hours.
